Concrete industry plays an important role in promoting critical infrastructure related to the water sector.

Mohammad Haj Rasooliha said at the concrete and earthquake conference that the construction industry is directly linked to the country's underlying development, and its prosperity will always be boosted by other industries.

Iran now as one of the rich and developing countries in the region has seen a huge investment in the industry, including construction in the water sector including dams, water transfer tunnels, irrigation and drainage networks, refineries Water and sewage, water reservoirs and marine structures.

Water management in our country has a lot of complexity and involves various and various non-musical activities. Restriction of available water, its uneven distribution across the country, population growth and inappropriate urbanization patterns and housing centers, and the type and method of production of crops from the point of view of climate adaptation, have provided water supply in many parts of the country with difficulty and gradually Added to its dimensions.

Safe water supply, one of the most important challenges of the country

The occurrence of droughts in recent years has encountered more severe water access than water supply, since safe and affordable water supply is one of the most important challenges in the country and has faced economic and social development in some parts of the country.

In recent decades, the prolongation of drought periods, decreasing precipitation, increasing temperature and occurrence of climate change have been one of the factors affecting water resources in the country.

At present, the flood accounts for about 60% of the damage caused by natural disasters in the world. In the past decade, Iran has experienced an average of 60 floods each year, and about 200 people die every year in this regard. Therefore, it is necessary first of all that the necessary measures are taken to control the main human factor causing this phenomenon, namely the emission of greenhouse gases, and, secondly, in terms of its solutions, the effects and consequences of it will be reduced and eliminated, ie the damage caused by floods, droughts and lack of water resources.

The importance of the flood and the high volume of damage caused by it is significant, and most of the dams constructed in the country, in addition to providing sustainable water, have also been used to control the flood. Basically, one of the main goals of damping, especially in the east and south of the country, is flood control. And reducing the risks and damages caused by it.

Many provincial centers have turned into metropolis and virtually the supply of drinking water from these cities has become one of the main concerns of the sovereignty and the Ministry of Energy over the past 20 years due to the lack of land-use planning in the country and the special conditions created in the establishment of the population.

Important role of dams in supplying quality drinking water

However, water supplies are often carried out by metropolises and provincial centers from dams, and if there were no dams, safe drinking and quality drinking for these cities would be a serious challenge. The prominent example is the Tehran metropolis whose drinking water is supplied from the Amir Kabir, Lar, Latian, Taleghan and, most recently, Mamlou dams. Therefore, the concrete industry has had a significant impact on the improvement of vital infrastructure related to the water sector, and the Ministry of Energy has been one of the highest consumers of concrete in recent years and now.

In this regard, the Ministry of Energy is responsible for supplying water for various uses, especially drinking and sanitary needs, while working towards the comprehensive development of the country's water sector in terms of approved policies and programs, and considering economic, security, political and environmental values. Water, containment of surface waters and development of optimal utilization of water resources in line with the country's economic and social development in its plans for sustainable water supply for various uses.

Dams especially played a major role in drought management, especially in the country's relatively long drought. Providing different needs for drinking, industry and agriculture and controlling the destructive floods in this period, itself indicates the impact and effectiveness of water supply and damping projects and the role and position of concrete Is in this field.
Requirement to conduct training courses for the components of the project, to create a database of the status of the concrete structures of each province, to determine the specifications and specifications for the concrete production equipment, to encourage the cement plants of each province to produce the products needed for the stability of concrete and inspection. The technical and specialist periodicals by the employer were among the recommendations of the CEO of Iran Water Resources Management Company at the conference.
