The Minister of Energy at a meeting with the German delegation said:The Iranian government is determined to add about 3,000 megawatts by 2021 to renewable resources in the country.

Reza Ardakaniyan meets as Iranian Commissioner for the Economic Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Islamic Republic of Iran met with Sigmar Gabriel, the former German foreign minister and his economic delegation, includes German ambassadors and executives and representatives of some small and medium-sized German companies.

On the one hand, this meeting is on the one hand a positive message from Germany to maintain economic cooperation capacities with the Islamic Republic of Iran and, on the other hand, a clear point for cooperation in the field of electricity and energy, especially renewable energy and the water and electricity sector.

The Ministry of Energy and the Government is seriously addressing some of the problems that we are facing, and we hope that cooperation in the various fields will be pursued with earnestness.

Referring to the economic conditions governing Iran, Sigmar Gabriel, the former foreign minister of Germany, said: "Current economic relations are not as desired in Germany.

The former foreign secretary has stated that, despite the hardships in the current situation, there is a strong interest in cooperation between Iran and Germany, he urged to urgently follow up the issue of holding the summit of the Joint Commission on Iran and Germany.
