The first Iranian two-megawatt wind turbine manufacturing

Tavanir's Director of Research and Development:

Seyed Masoud Taghvai speaking to reporters stated in Shahroud: The two-megawatt wind turbine design process is finished, and researchers are making the turbines which is scheduled to be unveiled on next year, May. He added: the latest technology is used to produce energy from water in this turbine and it’s adjustable and adaptable with different wind speeds.

Director of  Research and Technology Development Co.  of tavanir, stating that the current renewable energy systems like wind and solar in the country is very low and less than a thousand megawatts, said: The use of renewable technologies such as wind and solar power generation systems is a priority for the Department of Energy. Taghvai announced the defined 40 priority research in the Department of Energy, and He said: Research priorities  is defined  based on the needs of each area, the definition of network protection systems, smart grid, wind and solar turbines, and the use of microsystems and nano systems in power grid are including of this priorities.

Director of Research and Technology Development Co added: Masters and doctoral and master's students can submit research based on this priority.
